In Memoriam

Below is a letter Marsha wrote before her passing April 16, 2026

Dear Friends,

It’s spring in Port Townsend, heralded by the blossoms of daffodils and hellebores and blooming shrubs. Sunshine alternates with showers, and I have welcomed the view from my window.

The progression of my multiple sclerosis has prevented me from staying in touch with you. Despite these physical limitations, my daily life has remained enriched by curiosity and wonder.

These qualities have been my companions through life. At a young age I was eager to explore a wider world, and I’ve been fortunate to do so. Travels brought adventures and friends, and creating art allowed me to express what I learned.

Recently I transitioned into hospice care. I want you to know I’ve had a wonderful life. Looking back at my path, I see that all roads lead back to my sense of the essence and the Oneness of life.

Thank you for enriching and blessing my life. I am so grateful for you.

Marsha
